Pocket for face shield storage The overall quality is very high. The construction, details, and materials are about as high as you'll find on any jacket, regardless of the price. We are especially impressed by the nylon piping used where the leather pannels joined the mesh body--a very nice touch on a relatively inexpensive jacket. It's also nice to know that you can add their Sahara vest for added cooling, if you want to.
Key abrasion areas are reasonably thick perf leather with armor underneath. The stock back protector is of the inflexible hard foam variety, but the more flexible CE protector from another Joe Rocket jacket fits perfectly. The mesh pannels are breathable but not quite as open a weave as other lightweight mesh jackets worn--still, it flows a lot of air and is a comfortable riding in a stop and go urban environment. There are also two convenient inner pockets: one soft cotton one for an extra visor which snakes around your ribcage, and one waterproof chest pocket with a headphone cord pass-through next to it. The fit is pretty much spot-on in sizing, but the fit is adjustable at the wrists, forearms, and waist, if you need a little custom sizing.
